The change is that the connector is not used with the TRM virtual appliance. Take a look at the TRM Virtual Appliance 5.5 Installation and Configuration Guide. It provides the information required to use the TRM Virtual Appliance.
I'll finish reading through the doc tomorrow and post additional questions.
How does the shift from hardware to virtual appliance, however, change what's in the doc? For example, the action commands listed in the doc - are these all included "with" esm now as an additional piece to add when trm is sold?
(The trm / nsm doc calls out this doc, so I'll open a jira tomorrow to specify when this doc should be referenced.)
TRM is now a virtual appliance and not a hardware appliance. The connector guide was not updated because it was targeted for the NSP/TRM hardware appliance. The guide would only apply if you are supporting an NSP/TRM hardware appliance.
Quick check - is this the latest version of the document, and is it currently continuing to be maintained (now that TRM v5.5 has been broken out from NSP)? Thank you!
