which new command about start/stop sentinel service after upgrade 8.6.1

Hi All

I try upgrade 8.6.1 to my sednitnle appliance server...it seem upgrade well.

but I find a different before uprade that I could not use original command to stop/start sentinel service.

at/before sentinel 8.6.0 , I could use rcsentinel stop/start service.

but at 8.6.1....it cold not use this command.

whether this command change to another new command ?

Hi

now I tempily use /opt/novell/sentinel/bin/server.sh stop/start/version to replace rcsentinel stop/start/version.

/usr/sbin/rcsentinel was just a symbolic link to /etc/init.d/sentinel which itself just called /opt/novell/sentinel/bin/server.sh.

/usr/sbin/rcsentinel and /etc/init.d/sentinel are been removed after upgrade to 8.6.1

Yes, server.sh is the main script, but it used to be linked to from the init.d scripts. The older (SysVInit) init.d scripts have probably been removed in favour of the newer SystemV. So the correct way to start|stop|restart Sentinel now is to use systemctl or the server.sh script directly. These are what the documentation refers to.
