On Tuesday, November 12, as part of a company wide initiative to bring all corporate websites under the OpenText brand, the Community will be down briefly around 11am Eastern / 8am Pacific as we transition to a new domain name.  The community will be offline while we make the change and when it comes back online it will be located at community.opentext.com and the old domain will redirect to this new location.  Thank you for your patience as we make this important change.

Welcome to Technical Bootcamp - Setting up Fortify ScanCentral SAST & SSC on Self-Managed Kubernetes

Cybersecurity Technical Boot Camp is a program designed to equip you with technical enablement capabilities through a flexible, self-paced learning model. Discover the power of our hybrid enablement approach, seamlessly blending online lessons with immersive Hands-on Labs

Immutable infrastructure facilitates the easy reproduction of environments, aiding in testing, debugging, and maintaining consistent configurations across different stages of the development lifecycle. Self-managed Kubernetes allows organizations to tailor their deployment according to specific requirements, ensuring a setup that aligns with their infrastructure and security policies.

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Application Security Bootcamp on deploying Fortify ScanCentral SAST & SSC on Self-Managed Kubernetes. This bootcamp is crafted to enable participants around installation and configuration of Fortify On-Prem ScanCentral SAST 23.1 on Self-Managed Kubernetes, specifically for demonstration and proof-of-concept purposes. The workshop will leverage Ubuntu 22.04 and the K3s distribution of Kubernetes. It's important to note that participants are expected to have prior knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes concepts.

Lab Exercises will include:

  1. Setting up immutable infrastructure including Docker CE, Portainer, K3s and HELM Charts
  2. Deploying and configuring Fortify Scan Central SAST and SSC within this setup
  3. Testing Java and Maven code using Fortify Command Line Interface (FCLI) to automate security scans
