      <description>&lt;P&gt;I went looking for a link to the Micro Focus Customer Center but couldn't find one. To me, this appears to be an obvious oversight.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;While it should probably be easily accessible from the main Micro Focus site, I would find it more convenient if it were easily accessible from the community site where I spend most of my time.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;More and more organisations calling for climate taxes and levies.&amp;nbsp;I was pretty shocked to find oil traders calling for &lt;A href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-10-09/trafigura-oil-head-makes-rare-call-for-regulations-in-green-push" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;carbon levies&lt;/A&gt; on oil fuels, but is this a 'sea change' (terrible pun, I know) or just rearranging deck chairs on the titanic? We need to internalise the environmental cost of our actions instead of pretending they don't exist, but it's going to be a massive economic drain.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can see the cost of shipping hardware increasing, but I don't see this affecting cloud users too much. Does anyone know of any other impacts carbon taxation may have on IT businesses?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Talk to a Technical Services Manager???</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The new header is a big improvement but it still needs some work. While it is much easier and faster to find forums that are product related, links to some forums have just &lt;U&gt;disappeared&lt;/U&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://community.microfocus.com/t5/Talk-to-a-Technical-Services/bd-p/Manager" target="_self"&gt;Talk to a Technical Services Manager&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;is one example. I have been unable to locate it following any of the links in the header. I suspect there are also a few other non-product related forums that got lost in the shuffle as well. There is a link to this &lt;A href="https://community.microfocus.com/t5/Community-Feedback-and/bd-p/community-feedback-suggestions" target="_self"&gt;Community Feedback&lt;/A&gt; forum that can be found if someone clicks on &lt;EM&gt;Get Started&lt;/EM&gt; but that is not very intuitive.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Every&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;public discussion forum should be accessible from the &lt;EM&gt;Discussions&amp;nbsp;&lt;/EM&gt;link in the header.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I would like to see a separate section for non product related forums.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The list of items displayed from the&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;Discussions&lt;/EM&gt; link is essentially a list of products. I would like to see the list expanded to provide additional keywords like names of products whose names have recently changed and those that have been recently discontinued.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;</description>

I was provided with the information I needed but the issue wasn't resolved.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;At the end of the day I received an email which said:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;SR # 101304567021 has been closed. If this status change is incorrect, &lt;STRONG&gt;please contact us by telephone to correct the status. &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;I find it increasingly difficult to find the information I need on the Micro Focus website... telephone numbers in particular. A link in the email would be very helpful.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I managed to locate a Micro Focus Customer Support phone number (800-858-4000) and called it. The voice prompts have changed from what they used to be but I did press 1 as directed to reach support. A minute after connecting I was dumped into somebody's mailbox with no instructions about what to do.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I called back and repeated the process. This time, a minute after being connected with support, the line disconnected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I called back a third time about twenty minutes later and actually spoke to someone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This happened about 5:00 PM Provo time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know this is not how you expect customers to be treated. An&amp;nbsp;issue can't be addressed until one becomes aware. I just want to make you aware.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;To add value to my issues I often add steps to reproduce.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To do so, I'm using animated screencasts, so readers of my issues may quickly follow and grasp the situation I'm depicting without first being required to set-up a corresponding situation themselves.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Currently, the maximum size of images I can add to my messages is limited to &lt;FONT color="#666699"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;2 MB&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;. That's forcing me to &lt;A title="Sample issue animation" href="https://community.microfocus.com/t5/Visual-COBOL-Forum/Tabs-arent-replaced-with-spaces-when-pasted/m-p/2803793/highlight/true#M8878" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;shrink some of my animations to a size that's hard to read&lt;/A&gt;, contradicting the benefits of such animations.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would be a great help to raise the maximum image size allowed to &lt;FONT color="#666699"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;5 MB&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To keep server storage tidy, images might be subject to be pruned when a thread's final message becomes older than a year or two.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Log into various protected resources (Community, opensuse forums, opensuse bugzilla, etc) in Firefox&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Stop using resources for period of time leaving browser open&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Attempting to access Community again at which point it prompts that the session has expired&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Click "Sign on again", which doesn't prompt for credentials so it appears IDP session still exists&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Redirects to Validate Email&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;To fix, either restart browser or do the annoying cookie clear&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So, it looks like even though the login session is retained, necessary injections of data are not occurring.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have created a Micro Focus account and requested the Data Protector free trial. I have received a confirmation email entitled "Welcome to Your Data Protector Trial" which provides me with the link to login into my account. My login attempts are unsuccessful, even though I am using the same email address that I created the account with. This is also the same email address that I received the welcome email. I have attempted to reset the password, but I&amp;nbsp; never receive the password reset email.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried the following steps to solve this problem:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) Creating a new account.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) Contacting live chat support.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) Calling the support phone number.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4) Contacting my Development Rep&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5) Completed a ticket to receive a call from a specialist (no response, even though I received confirmation that a specialist will call me soon).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;These solutions do not produce any results. The support team, when contacted, direct me to someone else that I have already contacted. If I am unable to login to my account, I cannot get the compressed packages. If I cannot get the compressed packages, I cannot test the software. If I cannot test the software, the enterprise for which I work will not purchase it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help would be appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I have noticed that some ideas have been created to have program defects correct then the idea is declined because it is not an enhancement.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The document should be revised to encourage readers to first turn to Tech Support to resolve issues and only after they have determine that the product is working as designed that a new idea be created.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Now we have migrated our application to kotlin and i see that Fortify is not supporting the Kotlin.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Any idea when we can expect Fority to support kotlin. The SR exists since March.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Some users can't use Filr if another user exists with the same firstname and lastname.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Add an "Advanced" link near the search box on the Micro Focus / Community header.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Currently there is no indication that an advanced search capability exists. The advanced search option only appears after entering some search arguments &lt;EM&gt;and pressing enter&lt;/EM&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If suggestions are not disabled, a short list of results is presented as search criteria is entered. Considering the amount of content searched, the number of possible results is not usually very helpful and the fact that some results have been returned may lead one to conclude it is not necessary to press enter and therefore they will never reach the advanced search screen.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just in case others run into this issue.&amp;nbsp; The Zenworks Configuration Management forum doesn't show up in the Community Home, at least not directly.&amp;nbsp; Here's how to get to it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;nbsp;Community Home &amp;gt; Collaboration &amp;gt; Zenworks Mobile Workspace &amp;gt; Click on the link labeled HERE&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;nbsp;In the breadcrumb menu, select Zenworks &amp;gt; Observe you can now see all of the Zenworks forums&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Oddly, you cannot get there by going to Community Home &amp;gt; Security, since the Zenworks forum is not listed there.&amp;nbsp; I'm betting this will get resolved in time.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This new forum software, lithium, is garbage.&amp;nbsp; The interface is a pain for browsing subjects and searching.&amp;nbsp; It is also slow.&amp;nbsp; I do not want to have to fight to find useful information.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since this is the Micro Focus support future, I do not feel this is satisfactory and I am officially starting my Micro Focus decommissioning.&amp;nbsp; It is hard enough finding Micro Focus support with google, but now that the forums are gone, and this nasty Lithium is its replacement, it is time to replace Micro Focus with better supported products.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have seen similar crappy "community" boards on the worst website in the world, aka HP website.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The forums made it much easier to see the history of products and common problems people have had.&amp;nbsp; With out it, I do not see how to support Micro Focus in my company.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am paying for support but usually I was able to solve my issues by referencing the forums.&amp;nbsp; Now, I am stuck with the paid support tickets, and I rather move on to non-Mirco Focus solutions where marketing and customer support with will be superior.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-Marty-&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I've reached the end of my patience with this SR. So, here I am.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I identified and reproduced a memory leak in eDirectory back in Feb 2019. I opened this SR once I was reasonably sure that I could reproduce it. Unfortunately, my client is running eDir 8.8.8.11, and naturally Support didn't want to deal with that. I was told that unless I could reproduce it with eDir 9, that it was a dead end because eDir 8 was out of support. Fair enough.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So I reproduced it with eDir 9. By then, a patch had been released, and of course, we can't possibly look at the results from eDir 9.12, Support can only look at it if it's eDir 9.13.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So I reproduced it again with eDir 9.13. That was six weeks ago. I've been sending James email, repeatedly, since then, and heard nothing until yesterday. Guess what?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Right. There's now an eDir 9.14, and backline / engineering / etc. can't possibly be interested in seeing any problems in 9.13, they want to know if I can reproduce it in 9.14 before they'll look at it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is (expletive deleted).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Each time I have to reproduce this takes a week. Then I have to hound Support for a month. By then, there's a new release, and around we go again. I informed James on the 9.13 test that this was it, that I would not be repeating this "try the new version we just released and let us know if that doesn't help" thing again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I need, today, somebody from backline involved. I need them to look at what I've reproduced. I do NOT need to be asked stupid questions like if I'm running IDM and whether or not I've checked the DIB cache settings. If backline sets up the same test, exactly as described, complete with all of the various supportconfigs that I've submitted and the exact instructions on how to reproduce the problem, and can't reproduce it, THEN, and only then, can we start looking for differences in settings or whatever.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I so don't trust IoT, and with good cause!&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I recently brought the &lt;A href="https://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/harmony-elite?crid=60" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Logitech Harmony Elite&lt;/A&gt; universal remote. Not only does the hiddeous .NET app require internet to even load, the Hub component also wants internet.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So, after configuring the Hub, I blocked it on the firewall (one of those very very rare IoT devices that doesn't need constant cloud access to function - unlike smart plugs!! Argh!!).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;However, in just 24 hours I get 8,000+ knocks on the door to get out to AWS:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Hello all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'am trying to migrate our netware 4.11 physical server to a vm. Iam almost ready to go live in our production but i noticed that the memory utilization is always 97%., before i encountered high cpu utilization and i was able to resolve it by using 2 processor but this one i dont know what to do I already increased its memory to 3gb but still the same.  Is there anybody here also encountered this high memory utilization issue? Hoping someone might help me with this.. Thank you</description>

Typically this is used for displaying results from commands issued in a terminal session and for code snippets.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The RICH TEXT formatting options I have available to me when creating a post do not provide this capability so how is this normally accomplished?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I lost my account after recent migration. account is very important for me because it was the one i have been using for many years. And it was working fine until yesterday when i tried to login here, it asked me for user and i mistakenly put wrong user name and this created a new account and i deleted the new one and now I cant even access community ( its showing some user deleted error instead of asking for which user ). I am not sure why this happened. I want my account back.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Right now, the new user is deleted and i cannot access the community anymore ( its showing error saying user deleted)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also i have seen that subscription services are stopped ( i dont recieve any more emails from any topics ).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also i have observed that Single sign on do not work, if we login to Support site, then for community we need to login again, Same for the Itom market place.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Note : I am commenting from my official account and i am talking about my personal community account.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

With the browser information displayed, it's more like two thirds of the screen. Is that not a bit excessive?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I haven't (yet) explored further... &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":winking_face:"&gt;😉&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Micro Focus's stance on Ancient UNIX licensing?</title>

      <description>I'm sorry for posting something serious in this section, but I found no place that seemed more appropriate.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Micro Focus acquired Attachmate in 2014, which had bought Novell in 2011. In 2010, Novell was found to own the copyright to UNIX during the SCO v. Novell lawsuit. Micro Focus apparently folded Novell into itself around late 2016. Thus, Micro Focus is the current owner of the UNIX copyright.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In 2002, Caldera International (later SCO Group) released “32-bit 32V UNIX” and “16 bit UNIX Versions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7” (none of which were initially released after 1979) &lt;A href="http://www.groklaw.net/articlebasic.php?story=20040224035032116" target="_blank"&gt;under a 4-clause BSD license as open source&lt;/A&gt;. Going through the Asset Purchase Agreement on Groklaw, it is highly dubious that Caldera was allowed to license Ancient UNIX in the first place. &lt;B&gt;Does Micro Focus recognize the Caldera License?&lt;/B&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The license includes this text: “All advertising materials mentioning features or use of this software must display the following acknowledgment: This product includes software developed or owned by Caldera International, Inc.” Given that Novell was found to own the UNIX copyright, the advertising clause misrepresents the facts of UNIX copyright ownership. Additionally, the advertising clause makes the Ancient UNIX code unfortunately incompatible with the GNU GPL. &lt;B&gt;Does Micro Focus have any intention of relinquishing the advertising clause?&lt;/B&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Finally, it has been over a decade and a half since the open source release of those UNIX versions. There are still a number of historically important UNIX operating systems that are currently unobtainable under any kind of license. &lt;B&gt;Does Micro Focus have any intention of making available source code licenses, under whichever terms, for UNIX System III (1982, 37 years ago), PWB/UNIX 2.0 (1981, 38 years ago) and PWB/UNIX 1.0 (1977, 42 years ago)?&lt;/B&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;UNIX turns 50 years old this year. It would be wonderful if these uncertainties could be clarified.</description>

      <title>Feedback on new interface</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;While it's OK, I seem to have a harder time reading it.&amp;nbsp; Maybe the white, maybe a font change, not sure.&amp;nbsp; I would also say it's just too busy.&amp;nbsp; Perhaps have an option to hide the misc. that is on the right-hand side?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I may be in the minority, but would prefer just a basic table view to the questions and can then drill down.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Chris&lt;/P&gt;</description>
