Reviewing changes before promotion

As part of our process a developer's work is peer reviewed before being promoted into the main stream for our product. We commonly use the GUI to perform diffs between the workspace backing stream and the main stream.

It's very irritating that a new file cannot be viewed from this difference list. To see these we have to separately view the default group contents and pick out the new files by name. Worse yet, the GUI can't tell you that the file is a new one in this view and now (in 3.5) doesn't order the file lists the same in the two views by default.
