Release Defects (Backlog) Cumulative Flow Diagram Widget

Hi,

Is there a more detailed write up on the widget called "Release Defects Cumulative Flow Diagram".  The information in the widget itself and the Help Center is not giving me what I need to know.

I am trying to get the widget to show data but have not been able to do so,
