Is it normal for everyone to get an Email notification after a new release was entered in a user story?

Hi everyone,

I would like to find out why everyone got an email notification after a new release was entered in a User Story. Does this also happen if any other value ist modified or just for the release? One usually gets notified just for User Stories which are in one's ''My Work'' module. Any ideas?
