How to set Run Results Viewer (RRV) logs to DEBUG level

In some cases it may be necessary to troubleshoot Run Results Viewer issues
Do so by raising Run Results Viewer logs to DEBUG Level

  1. Close the RRV if its running
  2. Navigate to your user’s profile by opening a Windows Explorer
  3. In the path space at the top type: %userprofile% - this should resolve to the user's profile path
  4. Drill deeper into the path: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\UFTReportViewer
  5. Open the file “Configuration.xml” for editing
  6. Locate the following text…
    <Logger OutputSeverity="3" LoggerFilename="
  7. Change the 3 to a 5
  8. On that same line in the file you’ll see the path for the “LoggerFilename”. Make note of this path as this is where the  logs will be saved
  9. Recreate the issue and collect the logs
