What-If Analysis is here – What’s New in PPM 23.3

The latest PPM 23.3 release introduces the highly anticipated What-If-Analysis Scenario Planning which helps organizations to reduce business uncertainties and make informed decisions that optimize investments which drive better business value. PPM 23.3 includes other new features and a record 25 customer enhancement requests completed in several areas of PPM.

What-If Analysis Scenario Planning

Leverage different views to do what-if analysis on road mapping, strategy-based planning, capacity-based planning, and agile planning & prioritization to optimize your investment mix and maximize portfolio value using scenario planning.

  • Real time change impact insights allow users to analyze the impact different scenarios have on business goals, timelines, strategic alignment, and cost and resource constraints and values.
  • With one click users can apply the best scenario and make adjustments to the affected content for execution.
  • Out-of-the-box scenario planning templates for Prioritization Planning, Strategic Planning, and Quarterly Planning.
  • Create your own What-If Analysis templates to customize and configure scenarios that reflect your specific planning purposes and business needs.

Expanded Strategic Theme Alignment
Strategic theme alignment has been expanded to include an alignment field which allows for bottom-up mapping, providing enhanced governance of strategic themes, business goals, and KPIs.

  • Additional alignment field allows for bottom-up strategic theme and business goal mapping, providing top-down insights into all levels of the portfolio.
  • Business goal rollups deliver a clear picture of hierarchy alignment of KPIs and the aggregated impact from contributing initiatives.
  • Clearly identify those initiatives that do not align with the strategic themes or business goals and KPIs of the Top Portfolio.
  • Aggregate cost and resource distribution of all contributing initiatives to deliver greater insights at the top-level of the portfolio.

Modern User Interface Enhancements
Layout improvements included in PPM 23.3 provide clear communication and simplify user actions within PPM.

  • Easily rebrand the navigation menu to update the background and notice colors within the admin console.
  • Refined Request status display clearly communicates status.
  • Modified Action buttons on the Request page for quicker actions.

Data Separation

Data separation allows you to segregate data between different parts of the organization, providing flexibility and control over how PPM data is exposed to PPM users.
