How to inform develops of the same team while changes of made has been gone live

Hi All,

Many of our customers develop software by teams. I am asked recently how team members be informed by Dimensions if a change of made goes live. For example, is it possible for a Stream user, programmer, to be informed when they launch Dimensions desktop client if the Steam they work with having a change go live?

I know if they performed item update, they will be told that modification or conflict occurred. However, if they don’t perform item update in a daily basis, they may encounter lot of conflicts occurred. In that circumstance, they need to spend a lot of time doing merging. As a result, when they launch the Dimensions desktop client, any sort of informing mechanism are provided if a change goes live is a good idea.

Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!

    Hello,

There is "Deliver to a Stream" email notification which can be configured in Administration Console and assigned to particular users/groups and stream.

If your organization is using MS Teams communication tool, another way to set this up could be MS Teams notifications by Dimensions CM Pulse chain. So, once changes are committed to a stream, Pulse chain runs and notifies through MS Teams. The feature is available since 14.5.1 version.
