Has anyone succeeded in installing Dimensions CM 12.2.2 application server in Microsoft Azure Cloud?
I have installed it but it will not work due to this error:
"DMAPPSRV 2022/09/01 15:14:42 E P6312 T3712 ACL4501561E Error: Could not load library C:\Program Files\Serena\Dimensions 12.2\CM\prog\dbio_srv_oci8_11107.DLL: (null)"

Hi Sven, some folks have installed later versions of Dimensions in Azure Cloud. Are you installing to a supported guest for Dimensions CM 12.2.2, (that is a pretty old version).

Hello. You will see this error if you have a incompatible local Oracle client. What ORACLE_HOME did you specify during the install and what version of Oracle is installed there?

Hello. Oracle is installed locally on the same Windows 2012 Server. The version of Oracle is 11.2.0.1.

Dimensions CM 12.2.2 is an old release, 10 years old now, and wasn't certified on Windows 2012 as that was just being released at the same time. The issue is more likely that the dmappsrv cannot find a dependency in the local Oracle. A tool such as dependency walker (www.dependencywalker.com/) can tell you exactly which dependency cannot be found, but the main dependency for this dll is OCI.dll. Does this file exist in the oracle home you selected / specified for the installation?

The file oci.dll exists in oracle home/bin.

I think you would need to use a dependency walker against dbio_srv_oci8_11107.dll to find what required dependency was missing in your Windows 2012 server environment. This is not necessarily oci.dll though that is the most common
