LR 12.55: RTE users failed to connect intermittently - Reason Timeout

Hi Everyone,

We have a LR script which designed using RTE protocol.

When we execute the script for multiple user it fails intermittently. [i.e] when we run the script for one user it works fine and able to complete the end to end transaction.

For multiple user the script failing in any of the transaction. (Not specific to transaction. it fails randomly transaction wise).

Please guide us on the possibility to overcome this issue.

    Hi Shoba,

    LR12.55 is a very old version which went out of support several years ago. So is the RTE protocol which is a legacy protocol. To overcome this, pls install the latest LoadRunner version which is LRP 2023R1. If the application supports any newer protocols like Web HTTP or TruClient, generate the scripts using these protocols and test it

    Once upgraded to new version, you can also try running your existing RTE scripts and see if the test runs end to end. If any failures noticed after this upgrade, pls open a support incident and send us the script and results so we can review and assist you further
