How is "Hits per Second" calculated / measured?

I've never understood how LR can measure or calculate "hits per second". "Hits" implies something has reached its target. I believe the documentation claims it is when a request departs MDRV or the NIC. This is not the same as a hit, in my opinion. An outbound request is not the same as a received request at the SUT side.

If the definition of "hits per second" is as the documentation describes, perhaps the name of the metric needs changing to reflect that it is "requests per second".

    Hello,

LoadRunner uses term "hit" for HTTP Request for a long time and this way it described in documentation. Only requests that "answered" (receive HTTP response) are counted. Each vuser reports about performed requests independently and then the raw data from all vusers processed and presented in UI.

Thus, we allow to drill down hits statistics up to desired vuser in Analysis (Filter/Group By).

    Best regards,

    Leonid.
