Load Runner 11.50 script recording issue

We have a Siebel application which opens in Internet Explorer but not in normal mode. Teams has asked to download the application from software center. Once we click the application it opens in IE. 

When i m trying to record the application using 11.50 LR, the start recording was grayed out. So we tried to change the "Application to Record" path , however the application which we are opening even if it has the IE logo the file location ends with .lnk extension. So once we start the recording the IE doesn't open.

Can someone please help on urgent bases
