1) What are the steps that you followed? How did you include the image in the email template?

2) Can you access the image from a browser without a PPM session? (Incognito mode). If you're still prompted for log in when trying to access the image, it won't work when you include it in the email. Disabling SSO mandatory authentication for some path of the PPM server is something that has to be done by the PPM/Infra team - in your case, you need to open a ticket with SaaS, and keep in mind that they may refuse as it may be considered a Security concern. 

You may want to host these images on some static content server outside of PPM.
