How is Percent complete calculated in summary from manual entry line items

Im struggling to understand how percent complete is calculated from manual entry.at the task level

Example:

                       Actual Hours      % Complete  Scheduled Hours 

Resource1:                6.9                 60%               12

Resource2                5.5                   85%               8

total                          12.4                  70%             20

Not following the math here... 

Also how is the same percentage calculated and rolled up at the subsequent summary levels?

    Hi Damon,

    In PPM work plan (just like in MS Project by the way), the percent complete of a summary task is based on the percent complete of every each task weighted by their duration. This can be very confusing, as the tasks effort is not taken into consideration for a summary task % complete, only the children tasks duration. 

    if you're looking for a percent complete that's based on effort, you should check the "% Work Complete" field in the work plan.
