Users are getting error "Java certificate has been blocked" while access PVCS web Url in MS Edge and Chrome browser.
Hello Rakhi,
This VM I-Net Server is running a (very) old release of PVCS Version Manager that still relied on a Java-plugin being installed on the end-user's PC. As such, KB doc S142044 might apply.
Note that the Java-plugin is not supported by Edge proper, nor by Chrome, so neither of these browsers are expected to work (see KB doc S143393), though Internet Explorer will work. Edge running in Internet Explorer compatibility mode might work, thought this is not officially supported.
A much better solution would be to upgrade your Version Manager instance to a current release (8.6.3), as that no longer requires Java to be installed on the end-user's PC and it officially supports Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Depending on your version / upgrade scenario, one of the following KB docs can provide guidance:
KM000009097 - How to perform an in-place upgrade of PVCS VM 8.6.x to VM 8.6.3
With kind regards,
- Richard.
