Is it possible to delete a defect from Issue Manager?

By design SilkCentral Issue Manager does not allow a user to delete
a defect, or to delete the defect description and history. The
principal reason for this is to ensure data integrity is
maintained.
Instead of deleting a defect simply close with the appropriate
action. For example a duplicate defect should be closed with the
action "Closed - Duplicate".
