How are SilkCentral Issue Manager and Performance Manager users" passwords encrypted?

Resolution:

ANSWER

User passwords in the Web Administration repository database are encrypted using a methodology called "JCrypt" which is similar to how passwords are encrypted on Unix operating systems. If somebody logs in, the password entry of the user will be encrypted and must match the encrypted value stored in the database. The password cannot be decrypted.
