When launching SCTM, error "Windows can not find http:local host 19120/segue 105394" is generated, how can this be resolved?

A problem such as this can be caused by a name resolution issue within the machine. The browser may not be able to connect properly to localhost.

A possible way to resolve this issue would be to:

1. Create a new short cut for SilkCentral Test Manager, (Right-click on desktop / select new Shortcut and enter the url (use the hostname of machine and not localhost e.g. Testmachine1 instead of localhost) and the name of shortcut into the wizard - The name should be Test Manager Home Page.)

2. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\SilkCentral\Test Manager 7.0 and delete the shortcut that points to http://localhost:19120/segue (It should be called Test Manager Home Page) and replace with the working shortcut that points to the machine name (the shortcut that you created in step 1).

3. Now if you go to Start | Programs | Test Manager 7.0 | Test Manager Home Page the new shortcut will be used and the problem should be resolved.
