On the machine wherewe installed/setup the Web server we will receive the following screen askingus to enter host or IP-address and port of the application server.

SilkCentral Application Server Connection

Finally we can installthe Chart server on another machine.

SilkCentral Chart Server Install Option

We can point to thechart server in Silk Central’s Administration -> System -> Chart Servers

SilkCentral Chart Server Settings

Note that SCTM will automaticallyload balance between chart servers if multiple chart servers are installed andconfigured here.

Note that thefront-end server must be located in the same LAN as the application server, otherwise the application system will suffer from the slowed down internalnetwork traffic.

Note that you may onlyinstall the Issue Manager Web UserInterface on the computer you are installing the SilkCentral Web Server on.

Note that we recommendinstalling the chart server on a separate computer due to its high memoryconsumption when handling reporting requests.
