After upgrading from SilkCentral Test Manager 8.0 to 8.1 why can I not see the new report templates in the Report view?

ANSWER
----------------------------------

Currently when you upgrade to 8.1 and connect to your existing database, only the "TM 8.0 Reports (deprecated)" folder
is displayed in the Reports view and not any of the new 8.1 reports, even though they appear under the Report Template
tab in Administration/Reports.



In order to access the new reports in this project, follow the below steps:

  1. Create and activate a new project (Administration/Projects/New Project).
  2. Select the new project by clicking on it in Test Manager/Projects.
  3. Navigate to Test Manager/Reports.
  4. You will see that the new reports have been added to this newly created project in 3 separate folders (Requirements/Test Plan/Issues).
  5. Right click on the first folder and choose "Copy".
  6. Navigate to Test Manager/Projects and click to choose your old project.
  7. Then go to Test Manager/Reports and right click on the project name and choose "Paste as Child".
  8. Carry out this process again on the other 2 folders (TestPlan and Issues).


You should now have all three of the new report folders in the Report view of your initial project (see below screenshot).
