What is the purpose of Group accounts?


Group accounts were introduced in SilkCentral Test Manager version 8.0. They allow the Administrator to define user access to selected projects.

By allowing various users to be assigned to a group, and various projects to that group, allows for increased flexibility of your projects. Each user can be associated with one or more group accounts, from which they inherit the access rights to the projects that are defined for the selected group account. Note that a user can be added to a group account with different roles. This allows for detailed and efficient management of user privileges.
