It looks like you may be using the incorrect ODBC Driver. Based on your screenshots, you are trying to connect to an XLSX file, whereas the ODBC Driver for the "Segue DDA Excel" DSN is limited to XLS files.

Can you try creating a new ODBC DSN entry that using the Excel driver for XLSX files and verify if this corrects the error?

in my project  i would like to use the Excel as my Test Data Repository. we tried different ways but it didnt worked for us.

Hi Santhosh,

To create an Excel ODBC you must launch the 32 bit ODBC Administrator:

• c:\Windows\SyswoW64\odbcad32.exe

Click the "Add" button and select the "Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls, *.xlsx, *.xlsm, *.xlsb)".

Enter a name for the data source and click "Select Workbook".

Browse and select the Excel workbook of interest.

If you need to update the workbook (e.g.) add rows, click the "Options" button and uncheck "Read-only".

If you don't want to create an ODBC Data Source, you can just specify the driver in the connection string:

Please note the driver must be available and listed in the 32bit ODBC Administrator.

With regards to getting the testcase name, you can use the "GetTestCaseName" function.

The error you are receiving indicates that your user account does not have the required privileges to access the registry.

Do you have admin rights on your machine?

If so, please close Silk Test Classic and relaunch it using the "Run as Administrator" Windows functionality.
