When installing, SilkTest hangs on the updating registry screen, how do I resolve this?


My system was recently updated and when trying to re-install SilkTest, on the final step of "updating the registry", it seems to hang. The Task Manager reports it running and "not responding", but after several hours of letting the install sit, eventually the process had to be manually killed. This now happens every time I try to install.

The problem is that the Registry has not been properly updated when SilkTest was removed the last time, so it seems to cause a hang when the reinstall is taking place.

Then try running the installer - this should bypass the previous problem.
