I would like to know if there is a way to have StarTeam Server rotate its server logs and/or otherwise be able to limit its size without restarting the server. (I am specifically asking about Server.locale.log.)
I had a client error today and I was going to review the server log. I was shocked to find that it was over 2.0GB is size! SAT said it wouldn't let me view it directly and asked if I wanted to save it out to a file. Unfortunately, with it being so large, neither Notepad nor Notepad++ can open it. WordPad opened it, but it's so slow to navigate that it's basically useless. (In the end, though, it seems that SAT is showing the end of the file, which is at least giving me something.)
I am running Server 17.0.1.41. According to the log, it has only been up for about 15 months since 16 March 2020.
(Separately, I'll try to figure out the root cause of the log bloat.)
