This article describes how to prohibit non-admin users from seeing the item browser.

Problem:

How do I restrict non- admin users from seeing the types in the item browser?

Resolution:

In order to restrict non-admin users, follow these steps for each type that you would like to restrict:
  1. Administrator edit.
  2. Select the type.
  3. Double on the type this will open the form.
  4. Click on type properties.
  5. You will see a check box that says display to all users, uncheck this box.
  6. Save and close.
  7. When the normal user enters the item browser, no types will be available.
