When using the StarTeam Microsoft Visual Studio integration the following error will be thrown after server timeout has expired:

"Connection to the StarTeam Server has been lost."


Timeouts are controlled by the settings on the StarTeam server. However, in the pre integrations the timeout settings were ignored and did not control the activities within the Visual Studio workspace. As a result even named users who were meant to be excluded from the timeouts would experience the connection timeouts.

This issue is fixed in the 11x integration plug-in which is due to be released in Q3 2010. The fix for this issue is included in the version of the SDK the integration uses to get access to this plug in.
