Why do I get a GPF memory error when installing StarTeam on Windows 2003?
Resolution:
Problem: It is possible that you receive a GPF-like memory error
when you try to install StarTeam on Windows 2003. The cause
of this is that the Windows 2003 Server Data Execution
Protection (DEP) software causes the StarTeam installation to fail
with a GPF-like memory error.
Resolution:To avoid this you can either disable DEP during the
installation or add StarTeam to the DEP exceptions category. DEP
does not cause a problem under WinXP but does under Windows 2003.
You can check your current DEP settings by right
clicking on My Computer-> Properties-> Advanced->
Performance/Settings-> Data Execution Tab
