Client installation does not run
When a user installs a StarTeam product, the installation process (Install Anywhere) will unpack files, the status bar will get to 100%, and then disappear. The installation will not continue. Also, there are no StarTeam or InstallAnywhere processes running on the machine.
This typically occurs on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
This is because InstallAnywhere is Java-based and therefore dynamically executes data. This triggers the "Data Execution Prevention" (DEP) functionality featured in Windows 2003 Sp1 or Windows XP Sp2.
