Is it possible to run multiple CacheAgents on the same computer?

Answer:

1. On StarTeam 2005: it is NOT possible to run multiple Cache Agents as Windows services on the same computer. However, it is possible to run multiple Cache Agents as applications on the same computer.

2. On StarTeam 2005 R2: multiple Cache Agents can be configured to run either as a service or as a console application on the same computer.

Up to 25 Root and Remote Cache Agents can run as services on the same computer. However only the first one installed on the computer will be registered as a service. It is registered as a manual service with the display name ?StarTeam MPX Cache Agent? and an internal name of CacheAgentService. You will need to manually register the other CacheAgents.
