Problem:

What causes the error, "The view you are attempting to open contains no visible folders because of the current security settings"?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: 2008 R2
  • Product Component: CPC
  • Platform/OS Version: All

If you receive this error, you do not have sufficient access rights to see child folders in the view. To resolve this error contact the StarTeam Administrator and request to be granted the following access right:

  1. Open the specific view
  2. Select VIEW | ACCESS RIGHTS | CHILD FOLDER
  3. Give the user/group the grant access right "See Object and its properties"
  4. Save the changes.
