This is an excellent guide, I'm going to follow the advice for an implementation that I'm working on at the moment.

Some colleagues have advised me that they've had problems with Wifi not working well when mobile devices are mounted in metal racks. Are you or any of your colleagues able to recommend any racks that include plastic sides which are likely to be more transparent to a Wifi signal. We're concerned that for our larger implementations in data centres, metal racks will act as a "Faraday cage" and cause problems with the Wifi signals.

The quality of the Mobile Center help continues to be straightforward and informative at version 3.0 also.

The steps to backup and restore the Postgres database were particularly useful.

Hi Bish,

From experience, the hub has really mattered, we are now using the Cambrionix ones.  Cambrionix is a really solid company that are more than willing to go through technical details and their hubs are excellent.  I hadn't seen these cabinets, one client has a hand-crafted wall mounted stand that works, their secure room is cooled.  You could have really helped with our payments solutions, we've been looking for a way to stop interference for a Contactless Payments card multiplexer, placing each card in one of the Faraday cage slots may well work.

Thanks for this guide, regarding the battery management we also went the cambrionix route and developped a webservice using the API to cut the power supply every night to avoid battery overcharge and swelling.

I assume that this can be interesting for others as well.

I am not able to install mobile center windows connector .It is asking me credentials for mobile center or SRF. How to get this please let me know if anybody knows?

Basically to have a connector running you need to first have a server installed somewhere, you can access your software download site if you are already a paid customer or download the trial version.

The PDF references a different model of the Cambrionix than the web site does....which is need or correct?

Once place says model PP15S and other says PP15C which have a significant difference in spec and price.

If there is no benefit in the S model for 2x the cost I don't see why to buy it over the C

C is for charge (so no data connection)
