Hello,
Please disregard that screen. You don't need to login to the UI to use the UFT Mobile Add-in for local device. All the tasks are performed directly from UFT One. From UFT One, you just need to go to the menu Tools --> Options... and from the "GUI Testing" tab, select "Mobile" and specify the URL and port, test the connection and if it is successful, click Ok.
Once you have done that, from the menu Record--> Record And Run Settings... go to the Mobile tab and select the option "Use local device". You should see your device there and you can also upload your mobile applications from there.
If you have any issues, please open a support ticket.
Hello Jonnathan,
Per the first screenshot, looks like the mobile add-in that you are using corresponds to the latest version (UFT Mobile 2021). The earliest version compatible with that plugin is UFT One 14.50
For full details regarding the UFTO/UFTM integration, please refer to the UFT Mobile Integrations Matrix
For full functionality, especially for the support of newer mobile devices, I would recommend using the latest versions of both products.
So this is a valid question...previous versions of Mobile Add-on for UFT simply auto logged you in if you went to this URL. It allowed you to see your local device that was connected, etc. If found it to be a good debug tool to let me know that the Add-on correctly saw the device, etc.
Now with version 2021 you are presented with username and password screen so this is different than it has been...why the change and what is the default username and password? Since you are really running a local copy of UFT mobile it is a why you are able to get to this URL but the actual username and password is set at install and since we don't do the actual UFT mobile install (guess it runs silently) it is being set to something.
Is Micro Focus locking us out now from this interface or what?
Hi Howard,
The login screen was confusing to new users that don't know that the configuration has to be done directly from UFT One, so login is no longer allowed to avoid confusion when users cannot do things like uploading applications. etc. so the change is by design.
