Default Sort Order not transferring to WebClient

Has anyone found a way to enforce a default sort order of a saved search in the WebClient (23.4)?  The search runs and I get expected results, but the sort order that I defined in the thick client is not being enforced in the WebClient.  The only way I can get it to "stick" is to go into grid mode and move the column to the first column position and then sort on it.  But this changes the default order of ALL my searches, not just this one saved search.
