We have had various users encounter errors when attempting to use the Blue 'Check out and edit with default application' button. They receive the following error.

To edit this document in its native application the Content Manager Wed Edit application is required. This application can be downloaded from your organization's
Content Manager Web Server link [link contained within]. Once downloaded, run the MSI to install the required files.

We've tried adding the file types of these records to the document viewer if they weren't there already, and updating the users settings to organization standard. Is it simply a case of running the above MSI file or something else? Any input on what the issues are would be appreciated.
