In CM 23.4.1 Hotfix 3 there is no today's Default Date when searching Date Registered

Hi all, 

in 3-4 weeks, we shall have CM 23.4.1 Hotfix 3 

I am investigating some issues:

In CM 23.4.1 Hotfix 3 there is no Default Date when searching Date Registered, once you enter the date, it stays there for a while, but new search displays empty date field, blank, so user must click on the calendar to choose today's date . We had this case before and it was fixed in some versions/patches, but in this chosen version appears again.

Is there a way to place a default today's date in the search form when searching using Date Registered. ? Windows registry?
