Environment

Situation 

The user has updated a Retention Schedule on a Classification, and it was not passed down to the records. This happens even when the System Option 'When the schedule on a classification changes, make the same change to the records' has been enabled in advance.

Cause 

The user has manually set the Retention on a record under the Classification beforehand by using either:
 

• Using the Edit option in View Pane
   
  

• Using Right-click > Archiving > Retention
