User rights for client installtion

Dear All,

 Our security department requests us to provide DP documentation describing which user rights are needed for DP client installation.

We always use admin level permissions to install clients. However I was not able to find any clear statement in DP docs (10.91) that for Linux client installation root permissions are required.

For Windows clients, for CS on Linux it's directly stated in the docs but not for Linux clients.

Could you please refer me where I could find such confirmation for Linux clients installation or may be indeed the root permissions are not required?
