ProgramData\OmniBack\tmp growing after update

Hello Community,

I updated 2 days ago version 23.3 and and on some clients extremely large logs are created in "ProgramData\OmniBack\tmp". Several log files of 7-8 gigabytes are created. There are machines where 50-60 gigabytes of data are created in total.

These log files can be deleted, but such files are created again during every save.I had this problem before after an update, but once there I deleted these files and no new ones were created.

The name structure of the log files:

OB2DBG_11032__BSM_servername.domain.local_4808-9192_upgrade_1101_to_2303

What could be the problem ?

Possibly there is an environment parameter (OB2DBG) still set on that/those host(s). With the "set" command, you can display the parameters. Make sure to do this while logged in with the same user that executed the upgrade.

Hello Koen,

I dont understand clearly.

The TMP enviroment variables entry contains this temp location: %userprofile%\appdata\local\temp

But my big folder: ProgramData\OmniBack\tmp .

Why should I delete the appdata\local\temp folder if DP does not create the logs there?

Look for a parameter OB2DBG. Check #5 in my Support Tip to check this in the Windows system properties.

I looked. and there is no such entry. Only the traditional TMP that I wrote in the previous comment.

There is no OB2DBG entry in the system variables.
