Dear Sir.

Good Day.

we faced unexpected issue with DATA Protector Cell Manager after we change our domain name with a new domain.

error is , Failed to connect SERVER port 7116 Connection refused.

just we change domain from sss.org to mmm.org  ( just for example ).

    Hi.

There maybe more to it than just running:  omnidbutil -change_cell_name and regenning the cert

Looking at the errors in the screenshot provided, I you launch the services applet = services.msc and confirmed that the user running the services in question is still valid?

Perhaps the services need to be configured to point to a user in the new domain?

    Hi Sir.

you are right, after checked i changed to new valid user in the new domain. and all service is active now.

but when i open cell manager, it's asked me for user and password , and always say after insert user and password

    insufficient permissions, access denied

which user shall i use ?

Perhaps the "new" domain name is not reflected in the UserList file.

    ProgramData\OmniBack\Config\Server\users\userlist

I would suggest you make a copy of the file just in case you need to revert back.  Edit the file and confirm if the user that you are currently logged in as in windows is included in the UserList file with the new domain name.  If not, make the modification accordingly.

We can also add an entry in the UserList file to have any user connect as a last effort to have the GUI launch, but that would be a security breach and I would only recommend it, if the steps I mentioned above do not address the issue

If this resolves the issue, please feel free to accept it as the answer

    Thanks
