Now, if you are "upgrading" from 10.20 then please note a direct upgrade is not supported and not possible. By coincidence I just wrote something about this today.

Support Tip: Upgrade or Migrate?

As you will see a migration will be required and so the recommendation would be to setup a different system with the 11.01 version, so you can easyly migrate to that version. The advantage is you will have your old cell available until you are confident the migration and upgrade have finished succesfully.

I also wanted to add that the 24.2 version is an innovation release (short-term support) and current maintenance will end 06/2025. The long term support versions are 23.4, supported until 11/2026 and 24.4 to be released in a couple of months and expected to be supported until last quarter 2027 (to be confirmed after release !!!).

I have a final question. I have 8 regional Cell Managers if I upgrade the HP Data Protector manager of managers from 10.20 to version 11.01 and then to the latest version 24.4 will it automatically upgrade the 8 Regional Cell managers to 24.4? or do I need to upgrade 8 HP Data Protector regional Cell Managers separately?

Each cell need to be upgraded separately.
