Hi,
I have a huge infrastructure with many DP 11.00 cell manager and one Mom infrastucture with licence server/share (the licences registered for the ip of MoM and it's give it to the other cells). I planning to upgrade 24.4 (next LTS release).
but i read this: docs.microfocus.com/.../ReleaseNotes
"
- With the introduction of Role Based Access Control (RBAC) in Data Protector 11.01, it has evolved over the versions and is ready for mainstream adoption. Using the new Data Protector features especially the security focused features such as multi-factor authentication require RBAC as a prerequisite. We strongly encourage you to adopt RBAC considering that the migration is simple and easy.
- Starting with 24.2 release, non-RBAC user management for standalone Cell Manager deployments is being deprecated. For Manager of Manager (MoM) Configurations, the existing non-RBAC user management continues until further communication.
- In the upcoming Data Protector 24.3 and 24.4 releases, the plan is that fresh installation adopts RBAC by default and upgrade switches the user management to RBAC along with migrating the existing user data.

"
- Manager-of-Managers (MoM) environment doesn't support RBAC.
"
And I made some test: if I enable RBAC on CM, the mom connections are broke, the licences are unabailable for CMs, the MoM unable to access the CMs.
My question for an insiders: what is the plan with default rbac installation at Mom connected environments? Have a chance to use rbac with mom? if not how can I borke to part and rehost my big one licence registration in the future?
