(DP) Support Tip: How to resolve scheduler issue caused by StackOverflowError.


This problem can occur in any 10.x version available today. Scheduled backups are not running and in the server.log, the following message can be seen many times:

08:20:45,552 ERROR [io.undertow.request] (default task-24) UT005023: Exception handling request to /jce-serviceregistry/restws/lookup: org.jboss.resteasy.spi.UnhandledException: java.lang.StackOverflowError


The following procedure will clean up expired records from the problem tables and resolve the issue.

  • Backup the IDB
  • omnidbutil -run_script dbscripts/CPE/QCCR2A65778_jce_purge_expired_records.sql -jce -detail
  • Restart DP services
