Cause

The device path discovery process doesn't work without Atape Driver .
lscfg -vl command is used on AIX to find out devices and confirm serial numbers .
However, the command doesn't return serial numbers unless Atape Driver is installed .

Workaround / Fix

Please consider to install Atape Driver on AIX systems .
And/Or recreate/modify Logical Device with correct value of Serial Number and rmt Special File .
