Error to configure GRE Linux proxy

Hi,

I'm receiving the error:

ERROR: vmwaregre-agent was unable to load mount component

Check that you installed all required packages and
that your configuration matches all prerequisites.

when I tried to set the Linux Host. I selected the host and then set the path /var/proxy

In my host, I installed the VMware granular recovery extension agent and Virtual Environment Integration.

My DP version is 09.00 Internal build 87 and my vcenter is 5.5.0

Any idea ? Thanks

  • I checked our lab cases, abd found one case that reported the problem.  It is unclear to me if this problem was resolved

    HOW-TO-REPRODUCE:

    1. Setup RHEL CM and IS at 9.0
    2.Setup Mount Proxy at 9.0
    3. Upgrade all components to 9.02.
    4.REgister Windows VC 5.5.1
    5. Go to webclient and launch Change mount proxy page. Select the mount proxy and add path and click on Save. This gives an error.

Added FUSE RPM and issue is resolved

    ================

I have no idea what FUSE RPM is (I know that 'rpm' is the Linux Installation utility).  I did a 'google' search for this:

    https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHEA-2009-1320.html

fuse, a new package that enables users to mount FUSE file systems, is now
    available.

FUSE (Filesystem in Userspace) is an interface for userspace programs to
export a virtual file system to the Linux kernel. FUSE also aims to provide
a secure method for non-privileged users to create and mount their own file
    system implementations.

but, I can't find how FUSE and RPM should work together.  You will probably need to open a case with the response center so that teh lab casn look at this.  I would also advise that you touchbase with Linux support to get their take on this

    Hi

I installed the the following packages in my CentOS 6.4

    yum install fuse-ntfs-3g.x86_64 fuse-devel.x86_64 fuse-rdiff-backup-fs.x86_64 fuse.x86_64

    and restart the services

    /etc/init.d/xinetd restart

Now it's working, I set the path and returned the free space available on my disk.

thank you so much for the answer.

Now I'm going to try restore the files
