Yes, I got it today morning.....But then these are just two files, One jar file and one war file. Same version with the vulerable code removed.

I am stumped with the jar file. It is present on EVERY DP Client. Now am i supposed to patch 500+ clients manually? I already have raised the issue to prepare a proper hotfix, which we can deploy from installation serer with push install...

I just managed to create the zip for installation server and patch few of the critical clients where I do not have access...mainly clients which are managed by service providers.

The solution is to place x8664 directly under the first level directory...I tried to attach windows zip file I created...which worked for me. But somehow the upload is not working, You can create similar zip files. I had only 3 Linux clients, where I could copy the file from installation server using scp...but for Windows I am glad that the push install is working.

There is however no entry in the installed ssp/hotfixes...the log on client confirms the installation though. May be it is because I just used a random number in the text file??

The testcm push install works...I am proceeding with patching all affected clients...results look good.

One can see the newer jar file...also the ssp installation log contains no error.

So looking at your logs below...you put your file below CORE, instead of CC, is that correct?

I don't even see it beeing copied to the client to 'C:/ProgramData/OmniBack\tmp\ssphf\' while upgrade is running.

Your patched clients do not show this fix...because of this from your logs..
File C:/ProgramData/OmniBack\config\Client\ssptm\CII_OCTCR19Q1469146_HF1 does not exist

If this checksum file does not exist at "C:/ProgramData/OmniBack\config\Client\ssptm\" or "/etc/opt/omni/client/ssptm", clients do not show installed patch. Also DP can not validate binary / library upon check.
These checksum files are normaly included with a HF. Format for example for a CC omnirpt HF 'CC|/opt/omni/bin/omnirpt r 467644f5'

Hi Alex, CC is not the component. CORE is the component. Change that directory name and it might work.

I tried a couple of checksums (md5, sha1, sha256) and tried to use their hex value...but nothing worked. Do you know what would be the right valuse to use for the provided jar file? which algorithm is used? 

ok tried CORE...still no success. Also tried in DP10.91 cell...same thing. I am still missing something.

No, sorry I don't know the algorythm...I don't know why most HFs comes with CII_ file...and a very few don't.

I tried to create Linux hotfix...there seems to be a bug in DP 10.91...it complains that it can not find DP 10.90 files in the Hotfix. So I looked in the logs, and indeed it is looking for 10.90 directory.

Then create patch file with: tar -cvf DP1091_b95_OCTCR19Q1469146_HF1_ux.tar DP1091_b95_OCTCR19Q1469146_HF1_ux

and it should work...at least for DP 10.91. For 11, if you could send me the last ssp installation log from /var/opt/omni/log from the client, may be I could help you.

Well done... still don't understand why MF does not deliver this out of the box.

Not sure how many customers will be able to do what you / we do here.
Will attack this with MF support for our site tomorrow.
