Dataprotector 6.2 proglam is not answering when inport server Linux

Hello everyone 

I have Dataprotector 6.2

I'm trying to import a Linux installation server to "Dataprotector".

But,When I started the import, the program remains Dataprotector has connected becomes unresponsive.

still,Linux Server is "LedHat5.4".

Please advice the suspected place.

    Thank you for messages and advices.

    In reference to your advice I have confirmed Dataprotector.

    1.To confirm the state of the iptables, but was disabled.
    2.Cell Manager and client Ping was all communication is enabled.
    3.All of the server and client firewall is disabled.
    4.It was performed "nslookup" to all Server or Clents, can DNS.
    5.It was performed "nslookup" to all clients from the AD server, but could not DNS.

    By the way,Linux Server is guest OS on the VMware in AD Server.
    OS of AD Server is 2008 R2 Standard.

    Based on the above, I think because of that can not name resolution of the AD server.
    Please tell me if there is a further problem area in Dataprotector.

    Since the NIC has not been specified, it was found that could not DNS.

  • Please share rpm -qa | egrep "OB2|xinetd" from Installation Server and the result of the following commands executed from the Data Protector Cell Manager.

    telnet InstallationServer 5555
    omnicc -import_is InstallationServer
    
    Replace InstallationServer with the FQDN of your Linux Installation Server

    egrep | rpm -qa from the installation server | the "OB2 xinetd" output result of was recorded in the file.

    Then, the output result of under the command

    telnet InstallationServer 5555
    omnicc -import_is InstallationServer

     telnet → HP Data Protector A 06.20:INET, internal build 370, built on "Date" "Time"

    omnicc -import →Was performed, followed by the state response is nothing.

  • In that case name resolution from the Installation server is not working as expected and it is not able to find the way back. Please share the content of the files /etc/hosts, /etc/resolv.conf, /etc/nsswitch.conf and the output of the hostname, dnsdomainname and ifconfig -a commands from the Installation Server. What is the FQDN of the Cell Manager?

    Try ping CellManager and ping CellManager.yourdomain.com from the Installation Server.
