The same issue has been seen on Data Protector 10.91. Re-installing the Data Protector GUI locally or remotely resolved the issue.
After the first Reboot of a Data Protector (DP) 10.80 windows system the GUI stops working.
There is an error message "Graphic User Interface has stopped working".
After investigation some files
are found to be missing from the \Program Files\OmniBack\bin directory.
These missing DP files are "Chromium" package files, which DP uses to display web pages in the GUI.
As far as we can tell they only go missing once, after the first reboot after the upgrade to DP 10.80.
Not all upgraded 10.80 systems are affected.
This cause of the problem is most likely a virus scanner.
DP 10.80 is also known as 2020.08
Copy the missing files from DP 10.80 GUI system where the GUI is working.
