DP 10.20 GUI hang when configure Oracle 10g R2 integration on RHEL 5.x

Symptoms

GUI was hanging when configuring backup for Oracle database version 10g R2 on RHEL 5.x

There is no error mesage. GUI just hang forever

Diagnosis

According to the RMAN test:

 

using target database control file instead of recovery catalog

Solution

here are "BN_CTX_free" from oracle has some problem.

As we are using openssl for secure communication in DP so it hit ssl3_get_key_exchange() function.

So, there solution could be customer can upgrade their oracle client or If they don't want to go for upgrade then there is work around:

Steps:

In CM :

>>omnicc -secure_comm -configure_exception <oracle_client> -overwrite

>>Restart the xinetd service.

 

In Oracle Client :

>>omnicc -secure_comm -configure_exception <CM> -overwrite
